My cast does one weekend a year as a “Beach Party” Rocky show. Everyone dresses up in beachwear and there are beach props and references the whole show. So I got up in front of a packed house in a tie-dyed bathing suit and an apron, and Magenta-ed my heart out, until during the creation scene, I looked up in the audience and saw my dad (note: I was 14 years old). He was not invited, and I never told him that I was performing that night. Nothing has made me so self- conscious ever! Luckily enough, he got an emergency page and left. Added 8/24/02 |
